JENNIFER WILSON WHITE is a dedicated, talented Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Family Nurse Practioner, Professor of Nursing, wife and mother of two lovely girls, here in Silver City, NM. She is tireless. She does it all. She gives her all to all those who she meets. She was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer a little over a year ago and has had minimal response to her treatments. Her immune system has been compromised by the cancer as well as the medications used to treat it. She is currently fighting the good fight against a rip roaring case of sepsis, pneumonia, renal failure and a series of other maladies associated with her septic condition. Because of her condition she is no longer able to work. She was admitted to our local hospital in Silver City, NM on Tuesday, March 21st, and transferred to an Intensive Care Unit in Albuquerque, NM. She has numerous specialists tending to her many medical needs.
We are all pulling for her recovery and recuperation, but I am coming to you to ask for your support in helping to ease the stress of the financial burden this is causing to her and her family. They have insurance and they are good responsible people, but there are mounting costs that their insurance will not cover. As they are not near home, there are food, travel and lodging costs as well as the large expense of her transfer to Albuquerque. Any and all contributions are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
