Jennifer Ward is a loving wife and mother of three young boys.

In December of 2022, Jennifer had surgery for an umbilical hernia only to discover that her symptoms were caused by fluid build up due to Adenocarcinoma. After surgery Jennifer had a CT scan of the chest and abdomen and MRI. Her cancer began in the appendix. She has also had two paracentesis procedures to remove excess abdominal fluid; this is a recurring issue from the cancer.

The cancer Jennifer has is medium to high grade, which means the cancer grows more rapidly and spreads faster. She has an advanced stage of cancer, but oncology didn’t specify if she has stage 3 or 4.

Jennifer has kept a positive attitude as she starts her journey to fight cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy at SSM Health Oncology every two weeks and will do so for the next six months. After chemotherapy, she will have surgery to remove the cancer in her appendix.

We are fundraising to help Jen and her husband, Dan, with medical and transportation costs as well as overall financial needs during treatment. Jen is the sole income earner for their family, as Dan cares for their three young boys, Clark (6), Abel (3), and Levi (1) full time. Jennifer loves being a mother and her life revolves around those sweet boys. She has the best sense of humor, and a keen eye for fun fashion.
