Jennifer Schulke: A New Hope

Donation protected
Once upon a time, for over 2 and a half years, Jenny Schulke was trying to live a happy life with her Fiancee (Adam) and two stepchildren whom she adores. Suddenly, on February 4th, 2023 for reasons still unknown, Adam chose to change Jenny's life forever...

After a night of heavy drinking, Adam picked up a .22 cal handgun and shot Jenny in the back of the head.

This hadn't been the first time Adam had gotten drunk and harmed Jenny in some type of way. After making empty promises to mend his ways and stop drinking, Jenny still believed in him to stick to his word. Unfortunately on that fateful night, he lost control and drank too much, with the gun in his hand, he pointed and shot her in the back of her head.

Jenny had no idea she had been shot. Honestly, she was so lucky to be alive and had pleaded for Adam to call 911.
After paramedics arrived, she had fallen into a coma and had been out for 2 straight days. While in her coma, the surgeons removed bullet fragments from her brain and found a few small fragments in her heart that had traveled through her bloodstream.

When she woke, the doctors told her that she was a miracle... The likelihood of someone surviving this type of injury is very small. Jenny is very thankful to still be alive and grateful to be able to see her stepchildren. She has a very long road ahead of her.

Jenny has lost the basic functionality of the left side of her body. She currently is going through physical and speech therapy to regain control and be independent again. While the doctors and therapists are very hopeful for a full recovery. She has a lot of work ahead of her before she can do everyday things normally again such as walking unassisted, driving, or going to work.

Jenny is working so hard to regain control of her life, medical bills are piling up, and basic utilities and rent are falling behind. I am humbly asking for your help to alleviate some of these debts and stresses so she can focus more on recovery. Jenny still has hope for a new life beyond being a victim of domestic violence. Jenny and I would like to thank everyone for their donations, prayers, and well wishes.
