Jennifer Rowley Lieberenz beat breast cancer!

Donation protected
My daughter, Jennifer Rowley Lieberenz, was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (breast cancer) in early May 2022. After further genetic testing, she has decided to be aggressive in facing cancer this time and has already started fighting it “like a girl.” Jennifer is usually the one advocating for and assisting others, so it is difficult for her to ask for help. Her family and friends have helped her accept she needs to put her focus and energy into healing rather than worrying about expenses.

Jennifer’s treatment has already begun and will include more surgeries (the next being on June 21st), chemotherapy, radiation, hormone blockers, and reconstructive surgery. It is going to be a long road which will last throughout this year and into the next. She will spend some of that time facing a loss of wages so she can focus on fighting. At the time of the creation of this fundraiser, her medical bills are already coming in and mounting. Insurance will cover some, but definitely not all. With all the planned treatment, our family is looking at bills in excess of $100K.

However, JenJen is worth it! Why? Well, JenJen is so many things to so many of us (her friends and family) – smart, caring, compassionate, gentle, tough, sassy, protective, stubborn, talented, silly, and so much more. But above all, she is kind. She has embodied kindness from the day she was born and has a saying we have heard often in our home, “There is more power in being kind than there will ever be in being mean.” She never passes up an opportunity to look for the positive in others. She has always hated gossip and we have heard her defend many by pointing out the positives in people others often look down upon. She never hesitates to act as a caregiver for her loved ones (she provided 24/7 care of her sister for the months before she passed of breast cancer and also cares for her parents).

JenJen set aside a promising career in the arts because she desired to have a vocation in serving others. She serves without needing credit because she simply loves everyone. She volunteers in our church, at our local pantry, in many charities, and as a photographer for the “kiddos” at her alma mater high school (Go Green Bay West High!). She greets everyone with a smile, hug, and heartfelt compliment. She simply wants everyone to feel loved. JenJen has fought through overwhelming darkness to become a source of light!

Jennifer has given so much to everyone around her. Please, help us help her with fighting breast cancer. All proceeds of this fundraiser will be used for treatments and medical supplies not covered by insurance (i.e. medical bills, cancer nutrition, transportation to and from treatments, etc). No amount is too small and each donation and kind word will remind her we love her and to keep fighting! And fight she will; she remains optimistic, positive, and strong in her drive to win! “I have so much more to do here. I’m not going anywhere.”
