Jennifer Munro Ring is an amazing mother, wife, friend, and has such a kind and beautiful spirit.  Unfortunately, she has been living with cancer for over a year and her prognosis does not look positive (see update below from her husband).  We ask for all your positive thoughts and prayers for strength for her and her family.  

Her family and friends are planning a trip for her and her youngest son to Disneyland in the middle of March.  We have been able to get her free passes into Disney, but are asking for donations for her hotel and spending expenses, so her son will forever remember this fun time with his mom!

Thank you for helping make this trip happen for this beautiful family.

This (the bible verse below) is one of the many verses we can hang our hats on in a time of uncertainty.....

Jennifer is scheduled for paracentesis today at 2 p.m (Pacific time) to drain fluid from her abdomen due to ascites. Ascites occurs many times in cancer patients who have liver damage due to metastic cancer (of which Jennifer has) or from chemotherapy damage......another strong possibility why ascites developed. Without getting into all the details, ascites is bad and it leaves you feeling hopeless because there isn't a whole lot you can do for it. To make a bad situation worse, Jennifer's ascites contained cancer cells which could lead to further cancer spread.

Currently she is being treated with the proverbial "whole kitchen sink"; diuretics, paracentesis and shortly will begin IV chemo. These options can hopefully bring some relief of symptoms and give Jennifer some more time to be with us.

Please pray for Jennifer and her appointment today and that it will be as pain free as possible and give her some much needed relief from discomfort. Also pray for our children as we recently told our daughter about the direness of the situation (which was extremely gut wrenching) and need to tell our youngest very soon.
