Help Jennifer and Ricky Rebuild After Devastating Apartment
Donation protected
Imagine losing everything you own in the blink of an eye. That’s what happened to Jennifer and Ricky on the night of Friday, November 15, 2024. A fire broke out in their apartment complex, devastating at least 16 units. The damage is extensive, with fire, smoke, and water destroying nearly all of their belongings. In many units, ceilings have collapsed, leaving nothing salvageable.
Jennifer and Ricky believed their renter’s insurance was included in their rent—a practice upheld by the building’s previous owners. However, the current property management company claims there’s no record of tenant insurance being provided. Now, they’re left starting from scratch with no safety net.
The Red Cross has generously provided emergency essentials, including clothes, toiletries, and other basic necessities. But everything else is gone. When Jennifer fled the fire, all she had with her were her purse, her medication, her dog, and the urn containing her mother’s ashes.
Jennifer has always been open about her life and struggles, especially the grief of losing her mother two years ago. This loss has left her numb once again, but with your support, we can help her and Ricky begin to rebuild.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to helping Jennifer and Ricky secure housing, replace essential items, and regain stability. If you can, please find it in your heart to give. Together, we can help them start over and rebuild their lives.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
