Jennifer's recovery from her spinal cord injury

Hi, my name is Jonathan Remington and I am raising money for my good friend Jennifer Erekson.

Jenny was ran over by a pickup truck running a stop sign while riding her bicycle in West Jordan Utah.

Jenny sustain a severe spinal injury that has left her in residential care since early 2022. During that time she has been learning to walk again and gain control of her extremities. She's come a long way through physical therapy.

Jenny is without funds except through limited government programs. She currently relies on friends and family for any miscellaneous expenses such as a cellphone or small amounts of spending money.

At this time she is working on regaining use of her hands. She's unable to pour liquids and other fine motor skill tasks. However, there is a special hand brace that would allow her a chance at correcting this. Without it, she won't be able to accomplish this.

For various convoluted reasons her government programs, Medicaid and the like, do not cover the required hand brace; even though it is only approxamitly 1,800 dollars.

I myself could contribute 600 dollars. I'm asking friends and family to please use this gofundme account to come together and contribute the remaining amount for her brace and give her a chance and functional use of her hands.

Everyone that knows her also knows that she is the last person to have deserved the terrible accident to her spine.

I've asked her for a photo and more information on this brace. Sadly, it take great effort for her to operate a phone and send this information. I live out of state and am unable to get detailed information from her.

I'm asking friends and family to have faith in her and please help. The amount is minimal. Especially when considering what it can provide. Together, we can surely scrap up 1,800 bucks. Her efforts at physical therapy couldn't be more committed. She just needs a little help.
