Jennifer Petrea Marshall is a mother, teacher, sister, aunt, and friend. At age 42 she was diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis: hepatic encephalopathy and hepatic pulmonary lung disease . Now, at age 47, she is on the LIVING donor transplant list (MELD 19). If her score worsens to a MELD 25, a living or dead donor may be plausible.

A MELD score is a number that ranges from 6 to 40, based on lab tests. It ranks your degree of sickness, which shows how much you need a liver transplant. The higher the number, the more urgent your case is. Unfortunately, due to the issues with her lungs and encephalopathy, she is much sicker than the score tells.

Her mother, Catherine Petrea, died in 2017 with the same disease. She suffered and died at the young age of 61. She did not receive a transplant in time. This is our opportunity to help Jennifer and save her life.
