**Edit, thanks to the amazing support of the Salesforce Ohana, (thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ ) we are now raising funds to support Jennifer to go to Dreamforce, and her project to get more people in Africa into Salesforce, where most people in her town live off one US Dollar a day.
Thank you everyone, I can’t wait to hug you all at Dreamforce! Laura Croudace. Social Storie. X ❤️ )
Hi, my name is Laura Croudace, and I run Social Storie, a Salesforce Storytelling Company.
I've been writing stories about amazing people for many years, but nobody has struck me as much as Jennifer. She is helping so many people change their lives!
Jennifer's dream is to go to Dreamforce this year, and she deserves it! After working her way up, self taught, listening to Dave Massey's training videos while working her full time job in Zimbabwe (where the monthly salary is $250- the same price as a Admin Cert)
She worked exceptionally hard to pass her Salesforce Admin while working full time.
She wanted to help other people get out of 'living hand to mouth' not being able to afford basics like food and electric, and she founded African Women In Tech and African Ohana. She is now helping 682 people change their lives with Salesforce in Africa. (People earning $250 a month.... to get into Salesforce, as a volunteer, on top of her job, on top of also being a mom.)
I was interviewing her today for a new story, and she told me she wanted to go to Dreamforce. She'd cost it up, but it was £2,000, which is a huge amount of money.
I've decided that the world needs more stories like Jennifer, and she needs to tell hers at Dreamforce and how people what's possible when you put your mind to something.
In 3 years Jennifer has turned her life around, and how has the money to send her kids to school, but she needs the Ohana's help to make her dream come true.
Let's do this!
