Hello everyone, I am fund raising for my mom who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. Within 24 hours of receiving the diagnosis she already has 1-2 doctor appointments scheduled a day through the next week, and this is before she even has surgery. She will be having a double mastectomy as well as going through chemo. It’s been an absolute whirlwind - while I am incredibly thankful for the doctors getting everything moving to take care of her and get her healthy and recovered - it’s causing us to completely rely on the assistance of others financially. She has not been able to go back to work due to the amount of appointments she has, and I know that’s only going to increase as we get closer to treatment. I just want for her to be able to focus on treatment and recovery, and be able to get the rest she needs. Not worrying about not being able to work and pay her bills. No one should have to worry about risking eviction because of a cancer diagnosis. Your donation will directly go to living expenses like rent and utilities in order to allow her to start and complete her breast cancer journey. She would be so grateful to not have the added stress of being unable to work. You will be taking care of one of the more stressful parts of this, and allow her peace of mind to take care of herself properly. She has the biggest heart and would help anyone who needed it but has a hard time asking for help herself. I, however, absolutely do not mind to do so on her behalf.
