Hello, my name is Lisa and I crossed paths years ago with this very strong and kind woman, Jen, when I was in FL. We have stayed in touch and I was saddened to recently learn that her life has taking a drastic turn with her current illness, leukemia. She is married with 5 young, active children. Having the out of pocket medical expenses, not being approved for social security yet and trying to care for her children has been more than a little difficult. I’m proud of her as I see her smile and push through it all but am hoping that this post might help her to alleviate some of the financial pressures. As a mom, I know that she just wants everything to be okay and as “normal” as it can be for her kids. She has been admitted in the hospital multiple times for chemo, she’s is getting a bone marrow aspiration and will be waiting for her next round of results.
