It is with great pain and sorrow that we announce tragic death of 21 year old Jennifer Michelle Zamora. Jennifer was a sweet, beautiful, hardworking single mother of a two-year-old boy. Jennifer was pursuing an AA degree in Administration of Justice from East Los Angeles College, her goal was to obtain a career in enforcement.
Jennifer always had resilience beyond her years when she was 6 years of age her father got deported to Mexico in order to keep the family united her mother moved her and 6 siblings to Rosarito Mexico. When she turned 15 she decided that the best way to help her parents and 6 siblings progress was to continue school and obtain a degree so she decided to enroll into High School across the border. Every day for 3 years she would wake up at 2:00 am to catch several buses and cross the border to San Diego and be in school by 7:00AM. After high-school she moved on her own to Boyle Heights where she enrolled into Administration of Justice classes at East Los Angeles College while working on campus. While enrolled at ELAC she was diagnosed with Leukemia. After struggling with the debilitating illness we felt blessed when they found a donor for her however, our happiness was short lived. The medication that came with the process caused her kidneys and liver to fail and on January 5, 2019 she left us.
In asking for assistance, we have decided to set up a go fund me page. We know that everybody’s going through something so every little bit will help! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Money will go towards helping with burial expenses and towards a fund for her two-year-old son who leaves behind.
