Jennifer passed from her physical body on February 14 with her family by her side after she was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer last summer. She kept her diagnosis quiet while continuing to meet as many of her teaching, work, & family obligations as possible. In October 2022, Jennifer closed down INlighten Community, For Land & People, and all business operations to focus on her care. She was optimistic about her healing but, unfortunately, the cancer spread aggressively. In keeping with Jenn's spirit and to honor her tremendous impact on so many lives, we will be having a celebration which will include speakers who knew Jenn, music, a soundbath, meditation, a Reflection Area, food trucks, and space for children to play. We will gather at Johnny Carson Park beginning at 11 a.m. on June 17, 2023, with the Remembrance Service to begin at noon. Please feel free to come and go as you wish. Bring blankets, chairs, food, and whatever would make you comfortable for a casual day-at-the-park atmosphere. We are inviting attendees to wear white clothing if they are moved to do so, in keeping with kundalini yoga tradition. Funds raised will be used to pay for this event and any remaining funds will be donated in Jenn's name to one of her favorite charities.
