Jennifer L. Parsons Burial Fund

I was blessed to have Jennifer in my life for 18 years.  When I first met her, she fascinated me with tales from her nearly forty year career doing costume design for movies and tv, but soon I began to see that beyond the exotic, sometimes ridiculous  stories was a woman of amazing intelligence, confidence, and generosity.  She didn't really get the concept of "I can't.", and in addition to her movie work, at various times rodeoed, drove a big rig (her favorite load was dynamite), test drove race cars, and at one time even had her pilot's license...  and that's just the stuff she bothered to mention.  She seized every opportunity life presented her with, be it great or small.  In her later years, Jennifer spent much of her time and energy caregiving for her parents, sister, aunt, and close friends.  Her compassion wasn't just limited to people, either - she was a ardent supporter of animal welfare and nature conservation, contributing both her time and money to save animals and our earth.  She loved every creature she ever came across (seriously, her favorite animal was the platypus), and rescued over one hundred cats during the course of her life, as well as several dogs and various other critters, including one very lucky skunk.

This amazing life was interrupted on February 12, 2018, when she suffered a massive stroke.  Despite a valiant battle, her indomitable will and spirit could not overcome the damage to her brain, and she left this earth to step into the arms of her Lord on February 22, 2018.  Although, knowing her, it was probably NOT a very quiet entrance into Heaven - I imagine her sashaying in, chocolate in one hand and wine in the other, saying "Woooooo, that was a hell of a ride!!!  What's next???"

I hate that I have to ask for help, but I feel it's both my duty and my privilege to see that Jen is brought home to California to rest with her parents and sister.  She did NOT want to be cremated, so the expenses for getting her here are not insignificant.  All donations received will go toward her transport, burial and final expenses, ensuring her adored furbabies (one dog and one cat) find forever homes, and, if there's anything left over, arranging a memorial service and helping me go to Arizona to collect at least some of Jen's belongings, as she was living there at the time of her death.

I can't find adequate words to express what Jen means to me... my mentor and confidante, my soul-mate friend, my person, and I want to do everything in my power to honor her last wishes.  She was sparkling, unique and irreplaceable, and the world is a dimmer place without her in it, but Heaven is much, much brighter....  Now I just have to figure out how to do without her.   Any help anyone can give will be received with my eternal gratitude... thank you from the bottom of my heart.

One last thing .. in case anyone is interested, here's a link to her IMDB page... this is only a partial listing of her work, as she was uncredited for much of the work she did and some just hadn't been added to the page yet.  She would hate that I'm bragging on her, but as her official minion, I feel it's my duty.
