Update: (Initial story, older, info is farther down but wanted to put this at the top of Jennifer's page)
The photo you see of Jennifer on top of a mountain is kind of bitter sweet. It marked a point in her (our) journey where doing specific things is REALLY REALLY hard and we need to take a step back. We will still adventure best we can but after the recent scan of tumors growing and spreading, there has been an increase in pain and a lower ability to do things. We have had to make some difficult choices where she will be retiring from being a secretary at Cascade Bible Church for the past 22 years. I will also not be working as much so we can focus on her health and our time together. We continue to look for possible solutions to her Metastatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasm (NET) (Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, Grade2). **more info as well as updates can be found at CaringBridge.org (search Jennifer Floyd and hers was created on 3/18/24)

My name is Andy Floyd and I have been asked by many to create a GoFundMe account for my wife, Jennifer Floyd. This is not an easy decision because we are not ones to ask for funds no matter the difficulties. We want to help others because no matter the situation we feel blessed and want to bless others. However, with costs of treatments, travels, inability to work as much, and the expense list continuing, I've had many tell me to set up an account. So here I am, and I personally want to thank you for taking the time to read Jennifer's story.

My wife's journey started on February 20th, 2024, when she went into a walk-in clinic because of some continued troublesome pains in her body for the past year or so. We ended up going to the ER for a scan, and after a review by two different doctors, we were told that Jennifer has pancreatic cancer.

At this time, we were in total disbelief because according to the sheet for pancreatic cancer folks, it's too much alcohol, smoking, eating too much red meat, and obesity, which if you know my wife, she is none of these. She is the healthiest eater, exercises daily, and just an all-around nutrition-wise person. Well, after further looking into the diagnosis, we came to find out that she has a very rare pancreatic cancer called Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET) stage 4.

Since the diagnosis she has undergone chemo treatments which did not change anything except make her really sick. She has since started radiation at Fred Hutch in Seattle and is on her 3rd round which is possibly stopping the tumors from growing more but causes a lot of pain and nausea. She is such a strong and amazing person so continues to endure as well as look for other ways to fight and win this cancer battle.

I'm going to stop here because the story continues at CaringBridge found here: https://www.caringbridge.org/site/7afa4304-e5ae-11ee-ba6c-f1201e7ee993

Again, thank you for taking a look and thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and support through this difficult time.
