Jennifer Johnson-Genaille Celebration of Life

It is with the heaviest heart I share Jennifer’s passing this evening @ 11:40pm. She will be missed by all of us! Her Gypsy soul and hippie spirit were and will forever be in our broken hearts. She loved life, loved nature, loved her cats and her puppy Clementine, collecting vintage jewelry & metal detecting, Scrabble, cooking, drawing, doodling, bike riding, nature walking and everything in between. Most importantly she loved being a mama to Jake, Madison, Ella & MaggieJo (and anyone else’s kids) and of course, her husband Jason for the past 31 years.

Her smile, her laughter, her colour, her sense of humour, her randomly sweet & thoughtful texts or memes, and just the way she saw the world will be missed like crazy!

Hey everyone, my name is Jo…Jennifer’s twin. As many of you know Jennifer’s been struggling with several health issues for some time now. On March 12th, she bravely asked to be taken to RUH ER after many frustrating years of feeling unwell and finding no appropriate care. We’ve watched Jennifer go from a vibrant, spicy, active & colourful woman to someone who has difficulty taking a simple shower or enjoying time outside with her beloved Clementine and 4 children.

She’s been in hospital since the 12th and is having open heart tricuspid valve replacement surgery this morning (April 19th).

To provide some peace of mind and ease in Jennifer’s lengthy recovery; including travel to Saskatoon from Biggar on a regular basis for check ups, huge dietary adjustments, implementing safety features in her home for ease of mobility, medication and perhaps even a well deserved spa day for when she’s back on her feet; Any and all donations will be accepted and so unbelievably appreciated! Let’s get this Willie Nelson loving sister of mine on a happy and healthy road to recovery! ❤️‍
