Hi, my name is Max, and I'm organising this fundraiser for my sister Jen. Jennifer “Jen” Lemme is a 53-year-old independent mum to two incredible daughters, Luka and Mackenzie. Since Christmas, Jen has been facing cervical cancer with courage, resilience, and determination.
She has recently completed six weeks of chemotherapy. The next stages of treatment are now beginning — radiotherapy combined with further chemotherapy, followed by immunotherapy and other systemic treatments.
Jen’s treatment journey is focused on controlling the disease, managing symptoms, and helping her live as well and as fully as possible for as long as possible.
We are raising funds to give Jen the breathing space to focus on her health and her family, without the constant pressure of covering everyday expenses while she is in treatment.
Who Jen Is
Jen is so much more than her diagnosis.
She is a devoted mum who has always put her daughters first. Luka and Mackenzie are both at university, and Jen continues to support them by providing a home, stability, and emotional support during one of the most important stages of their lives.
Jen is also a small business owner who takes pride in helping others achieve their goals through property finance.
Jen is the person who shows up for others. Now, she needs others to show up for her.
The Treatment Ahead
Jen has already undergone surgery and completed six rounds of chemotherapy, spending more than a month in the hospital since her diagnosis.
The next phase of treatment includes:
• Six weeks of combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy
• A recovery period to allow her immune system to rebuild
• Ongoing immunotherapy and other advanced treatments
This is not a short or simple journey with a clear finish line. It is a longer-term treatment pathway focused on keeping the cancer under control and preserving Jen’s quality of life.
Why We’re Fundraising
Cancer doesn’t pause life.
It doesn’t pause groceries, bills, or everyday family expenses.
As a single parent and small business owner, Jen carries full financial responsibility for her household. During intensive treatment — and in the months that follow — working at her current level simply won’t be possible.
Funds raised will help cover:
• Day-to-day living expenses while Jen is unable to work
• Out-of-pocket medical and treatment costs
• Travel and treatment-related expenses
• Ongoing support for Luka and Mackenzie while their mum is in treatment
The goal is simple: to reduce financial pressure so Jen can put her energy into treatment, recovery, and time with her daughters.
How You Can Help
If you’re able to donate, any amount makes a genuine difference.
If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you for standing with Jen, Luka, and Mackenzie during an incredibly difficult chapter — and for helping them face what lies ahead with care, dignity, and support.
