Jennifer Hodges Helping Hearts

Jennifer is a single mom and a Middle School English teacher. She began to feel ill in March, but ignored her symptoms and worked her hardest as a mother and teacher until she finally visited the ER. Instead of bronchitis, she was told she had blood clotting in her lungs and was admitted to the hospital. A medicine she had been taking for only three weeks caused this.

She is now almost out of sick leave, waiting to see a pulmonologist, and the doctors won’t let her return to work. She needs help with her medical bills and basic expenses to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads.
