As many of you know, earlier in January, my mom suffered a stroke. She spent two weeks in the NICU undergoing careful watch, and a minimally invasive — but majorly vital — brain surgery. As of the 21st, she has entered a rehabilitation center. She has already made incredible progress: swallowing water and applesauce, smiling, asking for coffee, a visit with Jerry (her baby), pushing herself up in the wheelchair... and that barely scratches the surface. She is expected to be there for at the very least another month, but true recovery and the medical bills go far beyond that. Our insurance has been great thus far, but we all know how quickly that can change.

Someone brought it to my attention that maybe people who live far away from us would be willing to help in a monetary way. By no means are we asking for the full amount! A little goes a long way. Even $20 can go towards therapy that gets mom back to her Bible study, back to working at school, and able to talk to you herself :)

And if you can't donate or don't want to, please pray for my mom's strength of heart and spirit. God's brought her this far so she's definitely meant to stay.

Thank you,

Mark, Jen, Sam, Ashley, Will, Rachel, John
... and Jerry, Harley, Wally, Stanley, Ali, and Lucky ;)
