Jennifer Cruz and Ryan Hansen

Some of you may know that my beautiful sister-in-law, Jennifer Cruz, was in a horrific car accident a few weeks ago. She was driving home from work when she was hit in the drivers side by a person going at a very high rate of speed. Her car went airborne over a 6 ft fence. We can’t figure out how she lived through it, but thankfully she did!! Her injuries are very extensive and she’s had to endure multiple surgeries. She only recently got released from the ICU and is now in a rehab facility. She is making great strides in her rehab, but she has a very long road ahead. The prognosis for her recovery is at least a year. Throughout the past few weeks, my brother, Ryan, has spent every minute caring for Jen and taking care of all the other things that need his attention surrounding this horrible event. While they have insurance, this has undoubtedly taken a financial toll on them. Ryan has not been able to work, as Jennifer needs him more right now. Jennifer will be unable to work for sometime, and as you can imagine, many unanticipated costs have been incurred.
