On July 2, 2020, we lost our beautiful, loving, tenacious, and strong Jennifer.  Her death was sudden and unexpected, and those who loved her are still reeling from the shock and devastation of this great loss.  Jenn leaves behind her cherished daughter Eliana Pearl, her adoring husband Aaron, her loving parents Dorothy and Bob, and younger sister Andie.

Jenn was a loving wife to her devoted husband Aaron and an amazing mama to their beautiful daughter Eliana.  While she excelled in business early in life, her ultimate dream was to become a mother.  It was a long and difficult path for her and her husband full of heartbreak and countless tears.  When Eliana came into their family, their world became complete.  Eliana was the center of Jenn's universe, and despite increasing physical challenges in her life, she always made Eliana her number one priority.  To see Eliana happy is what gave Jenn purpose, and there was not a more fiercely loving mama in existence.  To see the special bond between Jenn and Eliana was an honor, and there are no words for how deeply missed she will be by her sweet, beautiful daughter.  She also loved and adored her husband, Aaron, who always took the very best care of his girls.  Jenn frequently referred to him as her rock, and she often spoke of how much his love and support meant to her. Additionally, Jenn was extremely close to her parents and sister, as well as her family and the dear friends whom she considered family.  You'd never meet anyone as devoted as Jenn to the people that she loved, and she would do anything for them.

Jenn faced many difficult challenges in her life, especially over the last 5 years.  Diagnosed with a rare and often crippling headache condition known as nummular headache, Jenn lived in constant pain and had to watch as her life transformed overnight.  Over the years, Jenn had to learn how to manage her pain and her life in a new way as she sought the best ways to treat her rare condition through her amazing care team at Mayo Clinic in an attempt to find the best quality of life that she could.  Anyone who knew Jenn knows that she was the fiercest of fighters and never backed down from a challenge, but that meant much time spent in hospitals as she tried to find whatever ways she could through countless attempts to alleviate and manage her pain.  As part of her journey, Jenn became a strong advocate voicing the shared concerns for many others in the headache community.  Jenn didn't know how to do anything small.  She became a speaker at various headache events and made repeated trips to Washington D.C. as part of Headache on the Hill whose purpose was to encourage positive change through speaking directly with members of Congress about increased funding for migraine and headache research.

A true friend to so many, Jenn was also an active member of many other communities including dance (to support her daughter's passion), adoption, education, Disney, and various other causes she cared about during her all too short life.  Jenn was exactly the person you would want in your corner, and her strong voice and fierce devotion to those she loved touched the lives of the many people she encountered.

Everyone who loved Jenn is heartbroken and devastated by the void in our lives without her voice to guide us.  She will be greatly and profoundly missed.

This campaign was set up by family members in response to the many requests from those looking for ways to help the Cohn/Tingwald family as they navigate their grief.  While her passing was sudden and entirely unexpected, she had previously expressed a strong desire to have her ashes converted into a diamond keepsake for her daughter.  She hoped that if anything were to ever happen to her, this would allow her daughter to keep a beautiful remembrance of her mom close to her heart as she is left to take those next steps forward in life without her.   Thank you for your kindness and generosity, and please keep the Tingwald and Cohn families in your prayers, and especially Jenn and Aaron's young daughter Eliana, who must now navigate her life without her beloved mom.
