Jennifer Bender Memorial Fund

Hello everyone. My name is Dakotah, and I am the only child of Jennifer Bender. As many of you know, for the past several years my mom has been battling a very difficult fight with Stage IV cancer. On January 4th, 2023, at 4:30 AM, Jennie's pain and suffering ended and her soul is now free, resting in peace.

My mom was the kindest, most compassionate, and most loving human being that I have ever encountered on this planet, and I think that most people that were lucky enough to know her would say the same. She had nothing but positivity to give to others around her and truly was a bright ray of sunshine. I feel very fortunate to have had such an amazing mother and would be nothing without the constant love and support that she provided me throughout my life. She will forever be my rock.

I am of course completely devastated to have lost the person that I was the closest to in this world and I have never experienced any grief remotely close to this in my life. I am doing my best to keep everything together and deal with all of my mom's affairs, but as I said I am her only child and essentially have the entire load in my hands.

Any funds donated will go towards cremation services, planning her Celebration of Life, storage units for her personal belongings (my mom had quite the collection of clothes, antiques, furniture, and other miscellaneous items, many of which will be getting donated as well), my travel expenses, moving costs, and other associated expenses. My mom did not have any life insurance plan or any sort of savings, we were just barely making ends meet so anything given is extremely appreciated. Many of you have already helped us out tremendously throughout this journey, and my mom and I can't even come close to thanking you all enough.

I am planning a celebration of life in Grants Pass, OR at Oakview Gardens Apartment Complex in the Community Room on Friday, January 27th at 3PM for those who would like to attend.
