Jennifer and Kylee Mertens

Gathering Thyme Movement, Inc. announces our annual fundraiser for a local family. Kylee began having seizures at 3 months old and has been diagnosed with epilepsy and complications causing a wide variety of health issues. Treatment requires her to be in Portland every 3 months for an indefinite period of time. Along with travel and extensive medical costs Kylee's Mom, Jennifer could use some much needed monetary support. Gathering Thyme Movement, Inc. has selected Jennifer and her family as the recipient of this year's Community Care Project to help with travel, food, lodging and hopefully a little extra for Christmas and the Holidays. The funds from this GoFundMe fundraiser, along with donations received at events this year will be gifted to Kylee and her Mom to assist with costs that have been a challenge in light of the current diagnosis and treatments. Recent health scares have included surgery that Kylee was given a 20% chance of survival. She came through the operation and is doing extremely well, including returning to Jr. High School. We are grateful for the recovery and hope to help the family with unexpected expenses that always occur when a loved one is dealing with a healing crisis. All donations are greatly appreciated.
