My sister, Jennie has been through the trenches when it comes to fighting complex medical issues.
As a brand new school teacher in 2004, she fought hard to convince doctors, nurses, or anyone for that matter that something was wrong. By the time she finally found someone to listen they found a lemon sized tumor in her occipital region. She immediately had brain surgery, but they were only to reduce the tumor by half the size. Due to complicated area in which the tumor was located, it grew back. She had a 2nd surgery in 2006 After her second surgery, she was flown to Mayo clinic and had gamma knife radiation, allowing her to be in remission for 17 years.
My nephew, her son was diagnosed with a tumor in his optic nerve and spent two years on oral chemo, but is in remission.
Three weeks ago, she began having symptoms and had an MRI on May, 12th. Much to everyones shock, they have discovered a brain tumor in her frontal right region.
Jennie has just recently began her nursing career after working so hard to become an RN. She has been working in Poplar, Montana full-time a little over 1 year. During this time she has realized this was a job that was meant for her all along.
Jennie is very dedicated to her job and helping save the lives of others but she needs help to fight this battle now.
My sister has two boys ages 14 and 13, who need their momma! At this point in time the plan is for her to fight and fight hard. She has been meeting with several specialists who all agree this tumor needs to come out as soon as possible. Surgery will be scheduled as soon as possible she will most likely need rehab after and will be missing significant amounts of work. We are trying to raise money to get her the surgery and to cover the cost insurance will not pay and travel expenses. If you are not able to donate we understand and we would appreciate prayers just as much. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
