Jennie is a Warrior
On July 11 of 2018, the day after her 64th birthday, Jennie Smith Biggs was just eight minutes from the hospital when her husband, Tom, took his last breath.
When the couple woke up that morning, they had no idea these moments were their final ones together.
A brutal car crash. An ambulance rushed Jennie to one hospital; another rushed Tom to a hospital with the critical care he desperately needed.
They never got to say goodbye.

The five of us, her friends, have watched as Jennie grieved but had to push through, doing what she's always done--taking care of others. A former nurse practitioner, Jennie is the full-time caregiver for her sister, Judy, and her ”adopted sister,” Sandy; they all live in the same home.

Jennie herself has challenges; at the time of the crash she'd been diagnosed with a disease that was likely to one day take her life--frontal temporal dementia. By a miracle, current scans and serial neurological testing show the disease has receded.
Still, Jennie continues to battle the over forty diagnoses she's fought since her health started to crumble almost forty years ago--all while pushing through the pain and constant fatigue to help Judy and Sandy.
Jennie needs our help. For the sake of Judy, Sandy, and Jennie--we're hoping to raise $10k to help Jennie pay the medical bills already incurred as well as those required to prevent a dangerous infection in her mouth which could cause a systemic life-threatening infection. Currently she lives with low-grade fevers and needs to have these surgeries urgently.
For the sake of Jennie, who cares so deeply for others, please consider donating to this little family. Any amount will help--$1 or $100. If someone you love shared this fundraiser with you, it's because they love Jennie. We all do. And we hope you'll show her some love today, too.
