Jenni Morscheck's - Cancer Fund

Jenni Morscheck is a 35 year old mother of two young sons, Erik who is 7 and Cash who is 2.  Jenni, her husband Blair, and their family live in Fort Collins, Colorado.  A year ago Jenni was diagnosed with cervical cancer.  She had surgery and for the next year she was told she was cancer free.  Then in October 2019  she had severe pain in the lower abdomen.  She left work and went to the doctor thinking maybe it was appendicitis.  They did a CT scan and it appeared everything was normal.

In mid-December the pain returned, only more severely.  She again went to the doctor and they did another CT scan.  The scan showed a large mass around the sigmoid colon.  A colonoscopy was attempted but proved to be unsuccessful as the mass had nearly blocked the bowel completely. She underwent successful preventative surgery to ensure she would be able to have cancer treatments. Since then an MRI and a PET scan have been completed. The PET scan and MRI revealed that the mass is not only invading the colon, but is also touching other tissues and is wrapped around her left ureter.  After the surgery site heals she will be receiving radiation therapy five times per week. Chemotherapy will also be utilized as an added measure during radiation. Despite having medical insurance, the financial strain on this young family is tremendous.
