Jenni Coronavirus Complications
Donation protected

Jenni is having complications likely related to COVID 19 and will need several tests in the next few days to determine if she needs to undergo gallbladder surgery. She tested positive for Covid a few weeks ago and has been battling extreme fatigue, and excruciating abdominal pain which has left her bed ridden for much of the time. She has gone to the ER several times as symptoms advanced, but has finally found the cause of the pain. Both her gallbladder and liver are not functioning properly and developing a back-up of bile and other vital organs may be at risk as well.
Her doctor feels it is likely to be a complication of the of Covid 19. Tests need to be done to determine the extend of the damage to her organs, and if the damage is permanent or likely to heal with time and treatment. He doctor feels it is worth looking at closer for many reasons, including the fact that Covid patients have been responding poorly to anesthesia, but the exploratory process is very costly.
Jenni has been in isolation in her bedroom, until she finally tested negative for the virus (yay!) but unfortunately Ian, her boyfriend, has just recently tested positive for the virus.
Jenni will need someone to watch over her as she recovers from surgery, but this is complicated by the fact that Ian is now sick and symptomatic. She is exploring a few options such as possibly extending her hospital stay, paying for in-home care or recovering in a hotel room away from Ian who is still contagious, with the help of a family member or friend. All of these scenarios will be expenses that she really can't afford, especially since she has been out of work for safety since she has an autoimmune disease and is at high risk.
Money donated will be used to cover diagnostic testing, the deposit on the likely gallbladder surgery, as well as making arrangements for her post-surgery care. Jenni will get a rough estimate on the medical costs in the next few days, so the amount needed may need to be adjusted.
Jenni is understandably very worried about how all of this is going to work and how she is ever going to pay for the care she needs. Her doctor has put a rush on all of these procedures, but this adds the stress of paying for and arranging for care all the more immediate. Please give what you can. Really anything you are able to donate is greatly needed and appreciated.
Stay safe and wear a damn mask.
