Jenna's Medical Bills

Jenna Chatfield is a wonderful, loving wife and mother of 3.  On Friday, March 4th she was rushed to the hospital because she couldn't breathe.  What started with a cold that week quickly turned into the most terrifying situation for her and her family.  H1N1 was attacking Jenna's lungs.  She found herself in critical condition with respitory and kidney failure.  After an extremely risky transport to UC hospital, she was put on a machine that would breathe for her so her lungs could rest and heal.  Currently, the doctors are hopeful because she is making urine and her blood pressure has remained stable.  They might be able to remove the artificial kidney soon, but she is still on life support for her heart and lungs.  The doctors said that it will be weeks to months for her to recover.  Because she is paralyzed to allow the machines to work, she will also need physical therapy.  Some good news- they took Jenna off of the sedation and she started moving her arms and legs and following commands.  She was put back under sedation because she is still intubated, but knowing she is able to move is fantastic.  Concerns now are circulation and possible blood clots with being on life support.  

The Chatfields are an amazing, giving, selfless family.  Jenna is always there for her kids and those around her.  Now she needs help.  The hospital bills and recovery will be a looming burden.  Easing the financial stress will let her and her family focus on health and positivity after this traumatic experience.  No donation is too small.
