Jennah was hit by a car while riding her bike on the 101 near Las Olas on the afternoon of October 5th, just one day shy of her 31st birthday. The car was traveling at a dangerous high rate of speed, launching her off her bike. Jennah was then rushed to ER with multiple impact injuries.
There, it was discovered that she had obtained multiple spinal injuries, several broken ribs, a life-threatening injury to her spleen, and contusions and abrasions all over her body. Jennah also experienced memory loss during and after impact, potential concussion, and continues to suffer from brain fog and headaches.
The morning of her birthday, she underwent an extensive and grueling spinal surgery. Though the surgery was successful and Jennah is in good spirits, her friends and family know this is just the beginning to her long road to recovery.
If you know Jennah, you know how being active is such a huge part of her life. Whether she’s biking, running, snowboarding or going on hiking adventures with her dog Norah, she’s always outside and she’s always smiling. These are just a few of the many reasons this is absolutely devastating for her.
In everything situation, she brings with her a positive attitude and captivating energy. Even on her worst days Jennah is always there for her friends and family or even for a stranger. We are confident that anyone who has had the privilege of crossing paths with Jennah can attest to the selfless and caring person that she is.
For someone who always puts everyone before herself we are asking for your support to offset this unexpected financial and emotional burden as she takes on this new life challenge in anyway you can. Whether it is a small or big donation, messages or cards of love and support, or even coming by to take Norah for a walk - any thing can and will help Jennah in the uncertainty of her recovery process. There will also be a Meal Train option for those who want to cook her a nice meal or get something delivered, but we are waiting to hear when she will be able to eat again.
We cannot thank you all enough for the love and support already given/displayed for our girl.
