Just over a month ago our sister, Jenna, went into hospital for what we thought was a routine appointment. What happened next came out of the blue and has shattered all our lives: they had found a tumour in her bowel.
This was devastating enough, but even worse followed. After further tests and scans, Jenna was told that her cancer was not isolated, but had already spread to her liver, that it was inoperable and incurable.
Jenna is only 39, she has two young sons and only her family and friends to look to for support. We’re completely crushed. As a family, we’ve spent days and nights researching extensively for anything we can do to help slow down the spread of this terrible illness, in addition to the chemotherapy she has just started.
Through our efforts to find out more about liver and colon specialists, we have found that there are nine hospitals who specialise in the types of medical treatment that she needs. Unfortunately, as this is self-recommending, treatment comes at great cost. We have already spent some thousands our own money on alternative medicines, healing, lifestyle and diet changes. That is why we have set up this G0 Fund Me page to ask for your help. We want to give Jenna every chance to watch her children grow up, get married and have families of their own.
We will be holding fundraising nights soon and will try to get as many people involved as possible. It is not easy to ask for other peoples’ help, but pride must be put aside and everything must be done to help Jenna to recover from this terrible disease.
Finally, Jenna is the kindest, sweetest and most loving sister anyone could ask for, someone who never asks for anything in life, that’s why we are desperately asking for your help in giving her the best possible chance of having a future to enjoy the things we’ve always taken for granted: more time with her family.
