Best friends Bryn & Jenna were relaxing in their apartment at Illinois State University on Saturday, February 13th when Bryn spotted a neighbor outside, waving her arms and yelling fire. They quickly chased down the cat, put on shoes and grabbed their phones and car keys. And they ran out, not realizing they would never return. For the next 4 hours, Jenna, Bryn, and the cat sat in Bryn's car in the parking lot, locked in by fire trucks, while they watched the flames spread to their unit.  

The next day they were told everything was destroyed. Nothing could be saved. Bryn's flute, her guitar, her keyboard, Jenna's artwork that took hundreds of hours to create, their computers, notebooks, personal journals, books, clothes, photos, furniture, everything.  Gone forever. And they would never be allowed into their apartment ever again, not even to retrieve a necklace. Too dangerous, they were told.

I am starting this GoFundMe for these sweet girls  because they deserve a chance to start over. To begin a new life. Let's help give them a head start on rebuilding. And not just their "stuff."
