Dear Friends –
Our wonderful friend Jenn Green (formerly Wilenta) needs your help because she is trying to rebuild her life after finally removing herself and her children from a dangerous and toxic situation.
Jenn has separated from her abusive husband and is taking the next brave steps to make sure that he never harms her or endangers her children ever again. This has taken amazing strength and resilience on her part, but it has also cost – and will continue to cost – tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees alone to complete the divorce and secure permanent sole custody of her children. Jenn is fighting to be free and to rebuild her life, and those of her amazing children.
This is where you can help. Jenn’s village is large and full of love – as it should be, as she has loved us, our children and our families for many years. She has given so much of herself to all of us and it is time for us to give back.
We know that everyone’s financial situation is different and it may not be that easy to give right now, but if you normally might want to meet Jenn for lunch or dinner or buy her a coffee, what would that amount be? $20? $35? $125? Maybe you could contribute whatever that amount would be. Or would you normally think how much you would love to buy something sparkly for Jenn because you know how much she loves sparkly things? This is a way you can be making a meaningful connection with her, whatever the amount. This could be your sparkly and very much needed gift to Jenn as well as Zoie and Tristan.
Please give what you can and share Jenn’s story with anyone that you think would be moved to help support her in her fight to be free from her abuser once and for all.
We’ll post more of Jenn’s story as it becomes possible so that you can better understand the extent of the trauma and abuse that she is just starting to recover from – and what is involved legally, financially and logistically to get her and her wonderful kids safely settled in the next chapter of their lives.
Thank you all for reading and for your
generous support of Jenn, Zoie and Tristan.
