Jenn Got a Kidney! Can you help her hero donor?
Donation protected
In Jenn's words:
In March 2021, I was given the most heartbreaking news, my kidneys were in end-stage failure due to Polycystic Kidney Disease that I was born with. I immediately went into fight mode to work hard to stay off of dialysis by changing my diet and making huge life changes. For a whole year I pushed myself through extensive and exhausting testing and lots of doctor appointments. On December 30, 2021, I was finally placed on the transplant list and was told it could take 3-5 years to find a kidney donor. My fight didn’t stop there, I then turned to being my own advocate by getting my story out there and talking to whomever would listen in hopes that they would donate or may know someone who would. Well my hard work is starting to come to an end and the process of getting my surgery scheduled has begun!!!
(JENN GOT A KIDNEY DONOR!!! She's a friend - or angel, or Superhero - who is literally giving Jenn the gift of LIFE!)
Although my insurance covers my donor’s surgery, it does not cover her travel expenses. My donor does not live in my area so she will be traveling here for her pre-surgery evaluation and then having to come back for the surgery. She will have to stay here for 2 weeks after surgery. Your donation will go towards her out of pocket expenses for traveling to donate her kidney.
Now for my words. If you are able to donate financially, that would be fantastic! If you are not in a position to contribute a monetary amount, please consider sharing her story to those who may be moved to help her donor. In any case, if you could keep Jenn in your thoughts, that would be lovely, too.
I know Jenn is humbled and so very grateful for all of the love and support she has been shown already. Thank you for taking the time to share in her story!
