I'm Amy, a longtime friend and fan of Jeni Swerdlow's. Her life mission is to create community through rhythm. Now it's time for us to come together for her.

Three years ago, Jeni started feeling pain in her hip. After countless doctors, appointments, tests, and therapies to diagnose and treat it, the full picture is finally clear. Jeni has severe osteoarthritis and is getting her hip replaced on August 20, 2021.

Osteoarthritis occurs when the cartilage that cushions the ends of bones deteriorates over time. For Jeni, this has meant increasingly debilitating pain that has impacted everyday activities and her mental well-being. And as a single mom of a spirited eight-year-old and the owner of a rhythm event business that relies on her body to teach, this has been an especially challenging time.
