Hi, My name is Juan Francisco Villa, and my sister, Jenine Giraldo's home went up in flames this week. She's been raising her three kids in that home. She's never been the type to ask for help, but she needs it to get her family back on their feet again.

A fire on their neighbor's fence spread to Jenine's home, causing the air conditioner to explode. Luckily everyone made it out okay.

She's always been the type of person to give the shirt off her back to help others. She's been working pay check to paycheck while raising her 3 kids in New York City which is commendable in itself. This fire has upended all that.

The fire along with the water used to put it out has caused substantial damage.

Our family is helping as much as we can, but she's not able to cook for her kids, needs to get them new clothes and supplies in the interim.

Asbestos has been exposed too. It can take up to a year to clear out the home and fix it. They will live there while construction is going on to alleviate costs.
