Supporting T-Cell Leukemia Research in Honor of Jen Foreman
Donation protected
Our beautiful and amazing Jen was diagnosed with T-Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia (T-PLL) in December 2022. T-PLL is a very rare and aggressive cancer with only about 500 cases in the US each year. The survival rate is typically less than 2 years from diagnosis. The primary treatment is limited to long infusions of Alemtuzumab (Campath) 3 times a week for up to 11 weeks with the goal to achieve remission and qualify for a stem cell transplant (SCT). SCT is a very long and risky process offering the only potential “cure” but 4-year survival rates post-SCT are low.
In December 2022, severe headaches required Jen to visit Einstein Montgomery ER. Her situation was so dire, she was airlifted to Jefferson Hospital where her bloodwork revealed a white blood cell (WBC) count of 350 (normal WBC is 4.5-11). Jen was treated and achieved remission followed by a stem cell transplant in April 2023. She relapsed in September 2023 and attempted several experimental treatments until her passing in June 2024. Through it all, Jen was an inspiration and the picture of grace and dignity; never complaining, receptive to any treatment, and courageous to the end.
To honor Jen’s wishes, the Foreman and Murphy families created this GoFundMe page to raise money for T-PLL research, awareness, and patient care with the goal of creating a Foundation in Jen’s name. Please understand that your donation to this fund would not qualify for a tax deduction.
Thank you for your support!
