Dear Family,
As many of you may already know, over the last year I have been going through a deep process of transforming myself and how I live my life. I left behind my home, friends, and job in Qatar one year ago to move to Peru to study traditional healing methods, plant medicines, massage, and reiki. As I’ve worked through my own personal healing, with many beautiful, inspirational teachers lighting my way, I’ve discovered that my true calling is working with traditional, holistic, healing therapies that integrate mind, body, and spirit to help people find themselves and reach their full potential. As I transform myself from within, I want the way that I live, work, and interact with others to reflect my values and purpose, and for my life to be a message of hope and healing. To that end, I am leaving behind my career of teaching, and setting out on an entirely new career path that will necessitate further study and practice on my part so that I may live a life of service, and eventually share this ‘medicine’ with the word. I feel that my next step is learning more about natural, plant-based healing methods from the tradition of ayurveda, combined with the ancient body wisdom of yoga, learning to integrate the two to achieve greater wellness.
For some time I’ve felt called to study in the city of Rishikesh, which is a renowned center of yoga and meditation in northern India. I’ve found an amazing training course

Tomorrow, March 28th, is my birthday, and I’m choosing to send this message out on this day, as a request that in lieu of any birthday gift, drink, or meal you might have shared with me, or just because you feel inspired and are able, you might be able to help me to realize this dream that is so dear to my heart.
