Jen Whitlock's House Fire

Last Tuesday, my dear friend and neighbor sister had a devasting house fire. At around 11:30 pm Jen Whitlock, her son Matteo and her daughter Nancy's house was struck by lightning. Jen and Nancy were asleep but thank the good Lord Matteo had drank a Coke too late and heard the lightning strike. Smoke began to billow out of his AC registers in his room,and he could see a fire inside. Matteo ran downstairs to wake Jen and Nancy up. They all got out safely with their dog and cat, but it took ten firetrucks and up until 4 am to get the fire under control. The house is a complete loss and heartbreaking. Jen, as most of you know, does not know a stranger and would do anything for anyone. After meeting with their insurance adjuster, we now know that the coverage will not cover most of their needs. If you are in the position to donate, anything would be most appreciated. Everything will go directly to Jen, Matteo and Nancy to help them rebuild their lives and home.
