As you all know, I was first diagnosed in March with Stage 3c, Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

Something I, nor a lot of people have heard of
this sub-type. Thousands of women under the age of 40, and even younger under the age of 30 have been diagnosed with this disease.

I went through 12 rounds of weekly
chemotherapy followed by 4 rounds of a drug nicknamed “The Red Devil” every 3 weeks. I
finished October 7, had my double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction and an LD
flap reconstruction on my cancer side.

Recovery has been a bitch.

Christmas Eve I noticed that the already tight skin under the flap looked like it was irritated- assuming it was some sort of rash after coming off of 8 weeks of hard antibiotics. Flash
forward to January 21 after another round of biopsies and we found out that the cancer had come back in my skin and has metastasized to parts of my bones.

Anything that had been weak from previous injury seemed to be the target. My right rib, S1
joint, sternum, pelvis and 6-8 more lymph
nodes. I immediately began another
chemotherapy drug that has just been
approved by the FDA for my type of cancer on January 22.

I will have 3/4 rounds of a cycle of 21 days with treatments on the 1st and 8th days and then one week off. The plan is still 6-7 weeks of radiation after I complete chemotherapy again.

To say this was a total shock and devastating is an understatement. We are going to do
anything and everything possible to beat this once and for all, even if that means finding a
second or third or even fourth opinion.

Everyone has been asking what they can do -
I honestly don’t know.   But this is the easiest way.

Any monies will go toward out of pocket expenses, dinners, travel needed etc.
