Jen needs our help with medical expenses

Hopefully you have all been blessed with that one of a kind friend in your life who always has your back, can make you laugh when you feel like crying, and would do anything to help in times of crisis. Meet my friend, Jennifer Belton. Many of you know her witty humor, compassion, love for her two fur babies, and devotion to her family and friends. You may also know that Jen has been dealing with a health issue that has currently become problematic from a physical and financial perspective.

Her MS medication has suddenly been hard to obtain due to insurance and logistical interference. As a result, this medication that has been helping her function in work and life is now $1,100 per month. This sudden price increase and other medical bills has put a substantial amount of pressure on her ability to meet her needs. In addition to the financial burden, the added stress has caused her symptoms to flare up. To make matters worse, she recently had a health scare with her beloved Abby and had significant vet bills that accumulated quickly.

Those of you who know Jen, will understand that she is not a whiner or a wimp! She doesn’t give up, and she is one of the last people I know to ask for help. Her independence and can-do attitude is part of what makes her so unique and special. Her friends have stepped in because we know she can use us now, more than ever.

We are starting this fundraising campaign so that Jen can afford the recent expenses to manage her MS, and get the medications and tests that she needs. She is about two weeks out from running out of her meds, and although she is in the process of looking at other options, let’s help her buy some time to get her these meds for the next couple of months.
