Our big sister Jen needs your help! Jen found a lump on her neck at the end of July and we received the news last week that she has Stage 4 Throat Cancer with Regional Metastasis. What that means is that she has a very urgent and very difficult fight ahead of her; but we know it is a fight she can win. Jen has been evaluated by the team at the Head and Neck Cancer Surgery Center at UCSF (one of the best in the Nation) and they are developing a treatment plan for her to begin immediately. As of right now she will be having daily radiation treatments and three rounds of chemotherapy over the next seven weeks followed possibly by surgery. She will need to stay nearby the hospital and will be out of work for the entirety of her treatment. Jen is the mother of a 14 year old daughter for whom she is her entire world and from whom she will be separated during much of this time. We are hoping to provide enough financial relief that Jen's only concern is winning this fight and getting home to her daughter and fiancé Tony. The funds we raise will go towards lodging, transportation to and from her treatments and medical bills. We know Jen will have a long healthy life ahead of her making memories with her family and many wonderful friends who love her so very much. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, and even if you cannot donate at this time, we appreciate just as greatly your thoughts and well wishes for Jen for a complete recovery.
