Jen needs her own safe space

Please help our friend Jennifer Payne.
We are trying to raise money so Jen can buy an RV to live in and to help pay deductibles for upcoming medical treatments. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2017. In the past 3 years Jen has undergone countless chemo and radiation treatments, adjunct therapies and multiple surgeries. The cancer, which returned in 2018, was discovered to have spread to Jen's lungs in 2019. Immunotherapy and dietary improvements were next on the list of possible treatments however, the most recent PET (August 2020) results indicate that immunotherapy is not working as hoped and shows clear progression of the tumors. Jen's immune system will be weak as she undergoes new rounds of chemo therapy in the coming months.
Jennifer passionately loves her position as an Emergency Tech team member caring for people in the ER. But her treatments have required a lot of modified duty, part-time work and sick leave since 2017. Her co-workers and leadership team have been wonderfully supportive throughout this ordeal; they genuinely hope Jennifer will be able to return to their ranks. In the meantime, she has exhausted her state disability and has been unable to work full time long enough to substantiate a new claim.
Jen's doctor has convinced her to put her health first, limit her exposure to the public and change her living situation. Jen's family and friends have been a huge help, but we are hoping for a more permanent solution. Currently, Jen lives with her two adult sons, and two other roommates. This arrangement has allowed Jen to afford everyday expenses, now the virus complicates her situation further. Jennifer’s sons and the roommates all work with the public increasing Jennifer’s chance of catching Covid. She needs a calm, secure environment before beginning her next round of treatments which will further weaken her immune system.
Your contribution to this effort will help provide a independent peaceful home where she has control over her exposure to other health risks and give her a quiet place in which to recuperate. We set up this Go Fund Me account to help Jen to buy an RV to live in and to help pay her deductibles for upcoming treatments. We have a permanently free space to park the RV that will keep her close to family and friends who will shop and cook for her, and take her to medical appointments.
We are aware that this is an incredibly hard time for lots of families, not just ours. We appreciate you taking the time to read Jen's story regardless of your ability to donate.
Thank you and stay safe!
