Caring for Jen Golan’s Family
Donation protected
Jennifer Golan, who courageously confronted complications from cancer, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 23rd, surrounded by those she cherished the most. A beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, Jen's absence leaves a profound void. As we stand by Alon, Noah, and Kai during this difficult time, we are committed to providing tangible support in two key ways.
Firstly, cancer treatment is financially burdensome, and Jen faced the challenges with resilience. Since her re-diagnosis in the spring of 2018, she navigated various health insurances, but none covered 100% of her expenses, leading the Golans to incur substantial out-of-pocket costs. November saw Jen in the ICU for a week, followed by another 12 days recently. While she received exceptional care, the associated costs have accumulated. Jen's inability to work in the past few years, coupled with the family relying solely on Alon's teacher salary, has resulted in financial strain. Our objective is to alleviate this burden by raising funds to settle the medical bills, allowing the Golans to move forward without the weight of medical debt.
Secondly, Jen was deeply invested in her sons' education, consistently emphasizing its importance. She encouraged Noah and Kai to excel academically and provided enriching experiences beyond the classroom. Recognizing her dedication, we aim to honor Jen's dream for her boys by easing the financial load associated with college education. We seek to support Noah and Kai on their educational journey, ensuring that Jen's belief in the transformative power of higher education continues to shape their futures positively.
In this challenging time, your contributions will not only alleviate immediate financial concerns but also serve as a tribute to Jen's enduring spirit and love for her family. Together, let us provide comfort and support to the Golans as they navigate this difficult journey.
Thank you for contributing if you are able.
