Back in May, Jen was diagnosed with Stage 3C Uterine Cancer.
The Doctors told her she needs a total hysterectomy including removal of enlarged lymph nodes.
This life saving surgery is estimated to be around $100,000.
In order to schedule surgery they needed insurance or a hefty down payment, neither of which she had.
She has struggled for months trying to get coverage before open enrollment in November (which would be active in January) and finally has been able to get some coverage. Surgery is now scheduled for October 7th. (Thank God)
Unfortunately, there are many uncovered costs including visits, tests, and pathology that have piled up; the sum of which is currently around $35,000. The entire amount she will face is hard to calculate as there are unknowns until pathology from the surgery is tested, which will determine future treatment.
I am sure you can imagine how quickly medical bills can add up with a diagnosis like this, and this unfortunate circumstance has left her no choice but to ask for help, reluctantly at that.
As you know, Jen does not like to ask for help. She never wants to be a burden to anyone or bring people down with things that are affecting her, but she is always one of the first people to show up for anyone if they need help - so now is the time to show up for her.
Any little bit is greatly appreciated in situations like this and if you cannot afford to donate please share and send as many good vibes as possible.
Thank you for your support of Jen in this difficult time. It means more than you could ever know to her.
