Jen and Ash Wedding Gift from WWKC & Friends

Hi. I'm Kate. I'm fairly new to WWKC, but like it probably has for most of you, it's changed my life and writing for the better. What an amazing group of people.

As you all know, Jen and Ashley are running off to Cali to get hitched in October. SOON!

This marriage feels really important. It feels like an embodiment of what is possible in love, queer love particularly. In these days of erasure and increasing aggression against the LGBTQ community, visibility and representation is more important than ever.

In the short time I've known them, I've been astonished again and again by the commitment Jen and Ashley have shown to one another, to family, to their community, to themselves. It is nothing short of holy.

This year has been costly for us all, I know, and for them— new house, family needs, etc. We've created this GoFundMe to act as a wedding registry to help ease some of the financial burden. A cash honeymoon, if you will. Please, if you're able, give generously.
