My 5 year old Golden Retriever, Jemima, is the sweetest dog, but she is ill. She has severe epilepsy and now has arthritis in one back leg and a cruciate tear in the other. She needs an operation on the cruciate, as well as physio therapy and she is taking 19 tablets a day for her epilepsy. She is fully insured, but we have reached our limit for this year because of tests to determine why she started having seizures, x-rays for her legs, as well as medication and blood tests to ensure the health of her organs. Until February, when the insurance resets, I have to find the money myself. I am a pensioner and everything goes up except my pension.

I have already sold my car and bought an old one, as she is also having special food for her diet as the medication has caused a massive weight gain. She has lost 13 kg this year, so we are getting there. Anything I can raise toward her veterinary expenses will be gratefully received.

Jemima is my best friend; there is just her and me and the pussy cats. Jemima is only five; she has so much more life left in her and I love her so much. As you can see by the picture, even the cat loves her.
