Since the day Diane Jelley
(Feltz) came into our lives, we knew we would never meet another like her. Her smile, presence, and loyalty was rare. She is the kind of person who puts others needs in front of her own, especially her family and friends.
Diane is not only a dedicated middle school teacher of 25 years who is well loved by her students and coworkers, she is the center of her family that keeps them all going. Diane and her husband, Chip, have been married for over 22 years and have 3 beautiful children; Taylor 21, Chris 19, and Zack 14.
On the morning of September 28th, their lives were forever changed. Diane and Zack were involved in a terrible car accident. They were hit head on by a van that crossed over into their lane. Zack has 2 fractures in his back that will require months of rehabilitation. He is very athletic and loves playing football and running track. His football team is headed to the Super Bowl this weekend, which has been sadly taken from him. Diane is severely injured and has an extremely long road ahead of her. She is suffering immensely from a broken leg, broken arm, broken knee, shattered foot/ankle, broken hip, and fractured pelvis. The amount of pain she is in is insurmountable.
Diane underwent one of many surgeries yesterday to repair her pelvis and hip and is facing many more in the coming weeks. The severity of her injuries leaves an unknown future for their family. They will have a multitude of medical bills and financial needs throughout this extremely difficult time. Anything you can donate to support their family at this time is greatly appreciated.
