Hi to everyone, on July 11th, I had an unfortunate car accident while on my way to my sister’s house. The floor on the highway was a bit wet from light rain. As a result I broke my right forearm and got a partial pinky finger amputation on my left hand. I lost my car, my adaptive driving equipment and my wheelchair. I will need to be off from work 6-8 weeks without salary. In addition, in mid August I was admitted to Doctors hospital with a lower bowel obstruction for which I was operated on last August 18th. I remained hospitalized until August 21.
I’m now at home still recuperating from both surgeries. My right forearm is still in pain and I have to restart my hand therapy again on Tuesday because where I was doing it, they canceled it due to the increase COVID 19 hospitalizations.
I appreciate your support with your donation of any amount as I still need to pay some medical bills, replace my lost and much needed adaptive equipment and take care of every day living expenses since this is an unpaid medical leave of absence from work.
