Help Miyka and Zoi with their basketball journey

Hello family and friends,

It’s that time of year again!!! I would like to first say thank you to everyone who helped make Miyka and Zoi’s AAU basketball season a huge success last year. We are forever grateful for their village. The girls had an amazing experience traveling and making new friends; they’ve formed new bonds with teammates and a real sisterhood in basketball. They have learned so much about the game and how to be a good teammate; you can definitely see their growth on and off the court. The girls have been busy this year, as well. They worked out all summer during the off-season honing their skills. They also began their freshman year at Colonial Heights High School as the starting point and shooting guards for the varsity team. Their team made history this year by hosting their first playoff game in Colonial Heights. Most importantly, along with running tracking for the first time and playing AAU, they are still maintaining a high academic standing. We hope that you will continue to assist with the girls’ journey. This year, their 9th-grade team will be traveling to places such as Pennsylvania, Tennessee, North Carolina, Maryland, Kentucky, Georgia and Illinois in addition to playing in both the northern Virginia and Hampton Roads areas. If you could help offset the financial obligations, it will go a long way in advancing their process. All donations will be sincerely appreciated.
