Phoebes family emergency fund

Hello,

Our names are Zoë & Athena. Phoebe Alexandrou’s older sisters. We are 19 & 23 years old. We are asking for financial support for our youngest sister. Due to recent events we are taking responsibility of sole guardianship of Phoebe for the foreseeable future. Our father is currently serving time in prison for 6 months due to poor decisions and alcoholism. Phoebe’s mom is absent and we haven’t heard from her in over a year and she is not able to mentally or financially support Phoebe. At a young age Phoebe was forced to move with her mom in Georgia, and was subjected to watch her mother spiral deeper into bad habits. Phoebe and her two other siblings cared for themselves and missed school during this time. Phoebe was 5 years old. We were unaware of this situation, but in this last two years we paid for her to move back to California and be with her father. Unfortunately our father has continued his alcohol addiction to the point where he’s now unable to be the caregiver of Phoebe. Now the responsibility has landed on us, and is a financial, mental, and emotional strain on our life. Athena had to quit her job and move up from her apartment in LA to take this on. Both Athena and I are unemployed at this time and are looking for possible employment but it is a large transition and will take time. 

Phoebe is a bright and charismatic 7 year old. She is extremely loving to every person she meets, and she always stays positive throughout her life even with the difficult cards she’s been dealt with. She is the light of our life and we feel we are responsible to give her a safe & loving future.

We are asking for support wherever we can find it. We greatly appreciate anything that is provided for us at this time.
